Reserve Shiraz Cabernet

Taltarni Reserve Shiraz Cabernet is the winery's take on the great Australian red blend. Grown entirely on their Pyrenees estate, it comprises 60% Shiraz and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon.

The fruit is harvested in the cool of the morning and processed into small open top fermenters. Cold soaking slowly extracts varietal flavours from the grapes.

Fermentation starts naturally with the grape skins submerged by French oak boards. This minimizes the need for mechanical extraction and maximizes fruit aromas. The wine is then placed into new and seasoned French oak barrels to develop.

After 14 months the wine is bottled. It leads the Taltarni portfolio.

Deep brick red, Taltarni Reserve Shiraz Cabernet is a velvety wine with rich red berry flavours enriched by restrained oak and hints of spice. Cellaring potential is 15 years.
